Bell & Ross has added a new model to its BR05 GMT collection, with a sky blue dial with a beautiful sunray finish.
The case, bracelet (and strap in the case of the blue rubber strap model) remain unchanged. In fact, this watch is exactly the same as the one we reviewed previously. Click here for a full review of the BR 05 GMT watch that was launched in 2021 with a black dial and red GMT hand. A white version was introduced in 2022. Now, this latest watch has a beautiful blue dial.
New: Dial
The new dial is a bit more novel. The dial is in a blue hue, which, according to Bell & Ross (BR), celebrates the intersection of the blue sky and the blue planet. I have to say, looking closely at the watch in my hand, the dial is a very beautiful blue, with a textured matte finish on the surface and a sun-like glow in the center. The classic elements of the dial – the Bell & Ross brand naming conventions and the GMT Automatic logo, applied hour markers and transferred minute scale – remain unchanged, but in white. The 24-hour index printed on the bezel now has blue on a white background for nighttime hours and silver on a blue background for daytime hours.

The luminous materials of Bell & Ross watches have always been excellent. It retains the extremely bright SuperLumiNova luminous material and excellent legibility. However, from the photos we took, the luminous material of the first model looks blue instead of green. The Bell & Ross release materials did not mention this change.
As a travel watch, the use of luminous materials cannot be ignored. Whether it is clearly legible in a dark airplane cabin or in a hotel room in a corner of the world, it can clearly identify the time even for a tired traveler.
The functionality of the BR 05 GMT remains unchanged, and its beautiful appearance is also excellent, which is perfect for enjoying an urban lifestyle at home and when traveling. The blue color is mesmerizing and this is an absolutely great looking watch.
