What is Ladle Slide Gate?

Ladle slide gate is made up of a slide gate valve, used for the upper and collector nozzle, matched slide gate plate, and could be used for all kinds of ladle. It adopts tabular alumina, carbonaceous material and zirconia-containing material as main raw materials, uses phenolic resin as binder, formed under high-pressure and burned under high temperature. The major roles of Ladle Gate Systems and Ladle Gate Refractories are to adjust the steel flow from ladle to tundish and to minimize the risk of steel re-oxidation.

Ladle slide gates are common in foundries, steel plants, and continuous casting applications, also used to reduce the risk of steel re-oxidation. The ladle slide gate system is primarily used to control the flow of molten steel from the ladle to downstream processing units such as tundishes and molds. Our Ladle Slide Gate has multiple openings which are required for foundry applications as well as pit side application in the Billet Casting plants. Here are some specific applications of ladle slide gates:
Continuous Casting: In continuous casting processes, ladle slide gates regulates the flow of molten steel from the ladle into the tundish. This controlled flow ensures uniformity of cast products.
